Delivery Estimates
In the UK, Whistl aim to deliver in three working days and use the Royal Mail for delivery. They don't make any guarantees but we find them to be very reliable these days (we cannot guarantee that your tea will arrive on an exact date, but we try to get it as close as we can). It's also worth saying that they are extremely good at Christmas and special occasions.
European destinations tend to take three to five working days. The Rest of the World should be six to ten working days.
Depending on the reliability of the local postal service, remoteness of the address, seasonal weather, etc, the Royal Mail can only estimate delivery transit times. We are very fortunate to say that all our overseas deliveries have arrived safely so far. Amazing, really, considering some of the remote islands and locations.
EU Shipping Charges
Since 1st July 2021, the VAT-free threshold of €22 has been removed. Under EU regulations, VAT may now be charged in the destination country. Customs admin fees may also be charged.
This is beyond our control and many of our existing European customers has reported no fees being charged. It seems very hit or miss. Please note that there is no VAT or charges for tea in the UK.
Deliveries to the USA
According to the Royal Mail, in 2019, the Universal Postal Union agreed to allow the US to set dues/prices themselves from 1 July 2020. It will see a significant increase of over 100% in the the rates paid for last mile delivery in the US. This information can be found on the Royal Mail website.
In addition, the Royal Mail have seen 95% less air passenger flights as a result of Covid-19 and are using air freight. This is considerably more expensive and has led to a five-fold increase in their conveyance costs to the US following the pandemic.
We are only charging £4.99 of the increased cost.
Taste Guarantee
To remove any risk in trying our tea subscription, you have a unique Taste Guarantee. Very simply, if you do not enjoy your tea, we will replace it no matter where you are.
It's also worth mentioning that if, for some reason, your tea package arrives damaged, please let us know. Although the Royal Mail do not give compensation, we will replace it immediately as we want you to experience our wonderful coffee as soon as possible.
